Interaction between JXN and Apache Commons Math^TM

• → Commons Math is a library of java classes which provide solutions for a variety of numerical mathematics problems.


• JXN and Commons Math are completely independent. That's why you must download Commons Math separately from the Apache web site.


• The easy integration (see steps below) allows an interactive exploration and use of the Commons Math functionality from the JXN user interface.

Steps to use Apache Commons Math^TM from JXN

1. download the latest version from → http://commons.apache.org/math (Downloads)


2. unpack the zip-file to the folder  JxnPortable/user


3. if necessary update the classpath to commons-math3-3.x.jar in  JxnPortable/JxnStart.bat
